| A Few Questions.... ![]() | BMW and treo -bluetooth I drive a 5 series 2006 BMW that comes with built-in bluetooth. The official story is that you should be able to call people over the car's audio system, make or receive calls, and have conversations all via bluetooth. In practice, the call hangs up right after connecting (I had considerable trouble getting the carkit and treo to associate in the first place). Has any treonaut successfully used the treo BT with BMW's BT carkit? I'd like to know what I'm doing incorrectly. thanks!! |

![]() ![]() | Sadly no experience. I assume the car's BT acts like a headset? When you associate and you see the device come up I've found if you leave it a little longer it seems to identify the product better. For example with my Jabra the Treo initially came up with "Headset" then I left it (on advice from Andrew) for a few seconds and it changed to Jabra JX10... then I moved on. This might work for you... Failing that I recommend you immediately send your BMW to California where I will do my best to check the car out and make sure it's working properly. This will take about a year. ~Steph |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I'm already in California dude. Dont think I can part with my car for a year though. May be I'll take the car into the dealership, they might have a software patch. I used to work for the company that makes BT chips for automakers, and Im not surprised the performance sucks considering the morons that work there. ![]() |

![]() | I found this on another website: BMW has this listed on their site: The Treo 650 is compatible after updating it with software version 1.12. Download this update to your PC at Palmoneand then hot sync to your Treo 650. Update support is also provided at Sprint retail stores. Only phone numbers stored as Speed Dial entries will be accessible from your BMW. Your BMW will not be able to access phone numbers stored as Contacts in your PalmOne Treo 650. We have the "official" list of supported phones on our site, there are more that are compatible and will be added as they are verified: http://www.europeanautosource.com/su...ot=21&id=30#F4 |

![]() | I have found that BMW has updated their bluetooth to the 13 Generation. I don't know when this happened, but I am pretty sure it's happened since the last posting here. I am wondering if there are any issues remaining with the UPDATED PALM software, and the newer BMW bluetooth...? Does anyone know? I am about to lay down almost $1k to put it in mine... Please let me know, Thanks! Tyler |

![]() ![]() | Well I guess I need to pay more attention to the dates at the top of each post or drink something with something to keep me awake. Or just hit myself up side the head with a 2x4 |
