Change Chat / SMS Colors? - Treo Forum

In the Chat for SMS, I realize I can change the color (and the name) for MY MESSAGES, but I'd like to change the color for both me and the other person. This purple is just driving me nuts. Why can't I be blue, and the other person be red, or me gray, and them black? I LOVE the SMS as Chat, but I'd like a choice on those colors!!

Hi, did you happen to find a solution to the purple? It is driving me nuts too. Your post is the only related topic I could find on the web.

No, I have not found any solution, and no one has offered any alternate software. It seems so simple. They offer the option to change how my own name is displayed, but not that of the other person.

Speak no ill will towards the purple. I will not hear of it.

I did notice the issue when I was trying to change my colors around though. I did not locate a workaround.

This is a bit extreme, but the only option I've seen is to install a third party app like Suntzu's PicureSMS that allows you to swap out the colorized names for pictures. Not really what you're looking for, but the only option I could find, though there may be others.
