Saw my first iPhone on Saturday, although this was a day after the UK launch it had actually come from the US. It certainly gathered a crowd but I wasn't one of them, mostly because I've seen enough reviews and videos so know what it's like.

I went to Cingular to check out the hoopla on the iPhone. I am not going to lie and say that I was not impressed. The phone is very impressive. But, who in the hell is it aimed at? This is what I mean:

$139 for 700 minutes plus unlimted data. Oh, you wanna text? Yeah, $20 for 300---$30 for 1000 and $40 for unlimted! What, $40! You have to be kidding me. That would certainly break bank with me.

I have a Power Vison Plan, unlimited data/unlimted text for $30! Yes, the iPhone is nice, but not that nice.

I have only seen and held a couple. Its nice but I am used to the external keyboard of the treo and probably wont switch. Now if ATT doesn;'t do the Pro at the same price as the 3G iPhone I may think seriously about switching.
