Comiken: I dont want to pay full price for a phone either. However if you're locked in for a 2 year contract with a phone that has little to no service for 75% of the time, no matter how great of a deal the phone was,free or $199.00-- you're stuck....for 2 years.

I would think that would be equally as frustrating if not more than forking out an original $300-$600.00 and being able to walk away from your service at any time (if it is not what you wanted), ebay the phone (probably losing a little cash) and then being able to opt to something that works better for you..
