Verizon Gets 3G Centro - Treo Forum

This is may not be news for some, but, today's WSJ says Palm has reached deal w/Verizon to make available to Verizon's 67.2 million subscribers a $99.00 Centro starting Friday with a 2 year contract. Verizon's version of Centro accesses internet on 3G network, much like the $199.00 version of the iphone that will go on sale on July 11.
Interestingly, Brodie Keast, Palm senior VP of mktg. says 70% of Centro's owners have never previously owned a smart phone, and 40% are women, which is double the % who own Treos. hmmm...

So does the Sprint Centro... Both are EVDO compatible.
