I blame the patent office for issuing patents on things which are so vague and ambigious that it covers pretty much everything

I also think that they should have a time period by which you have to make a claim otherwise they sit on it and then say hey you've been infinging our patent for 10 years so we want $$$'s in compensation

no taz, they wait longer so they can get more $, that's how it works. infringing on a patent for 10 years sounds better than 6 months, yeah?

I know, that was the point I was making

It should be that if you know someone is infringing your patents then you have x period of time to make a claim, anything over that time period and the case gets immediately dropped.

for real! these folks have known that blackberry (and they say palm now too) has been infringing for like 10 years and now they decide to say something? statutes of limitations or some junk!

I hope Palm beats the pants off of NTP, and invalidates their patents to boot!

I also hope I get my treo before any injunction goes into effect
