Hello,
A new application, PrettyEarth, has been released. PrettyEarth is the simplest application from the "PrettyMap" family, yet it offers powerful tools for displaying and analyzing maps of Earth compared with existing geographical PDA programs.
PrettyEarth displays vector maps (consisting of points, lines or areas) and raster maps (terrain elevation and bathymetry, images and symbolic data). Vector maps contain additional attributes associated with each object (e.g. population data for each country). PrettyEarth uses three kinds of views: "flat" 2D map view (with optional elevation relief), 3D projection and spheral projection. Maps are stored on your device or card, so no Internet connection is required.
Additional options include showing day and night regions; computing shadow length and sun/north orientation; various color schemes for elevation maps; user-defined elevation colors; data search for vector map attributes; versatile quiz with teacher mode for vector map attributes; distance measurement; adjustable water level for elevation data, and sessions to quickly save/restore program state.
You don't pay for PrettyEarth maps – all of them are provided
