I have an announcement to make....

I'm going to get a foleo, I'm going to get a foleo.... Talked the lady into allowing me to burn $500 on a foleo! She said okay. She didn't fuss and kick or anything, just said okay.... Wait a minute You think that is a sneaky way of her wanting something?

I wish you good luck with the Foleo, and I hope it does serve purpose for you.

About the laptop vs foleo. I would use a laptop over a foleo as I use my laptop as a replacement for my desktop PC (i no longer use a desktop). The freedom to sit on the couch with the TV and the Laptop while doing some work is great. Replacing a laptop witha foleo for me just doesn't make sense. Again as you said, you see it as half full, I as half empty.

I personally like the Ultra Mobile laptops, very tiny, powerful. I'd like to see the foleo evolve into something like that, with built in capability for syncing to the treo.

Yeah, I've seen those. There's so much potential for all these open source devices, but people have to latch onto them. Like Jeff said, they're (Foleo) targeted at a specific group for now, and that will be built upon. I've always been an early adopter though.

I think you have just been had, it seems from this whole blog, the Foleo, is a Psion Series 7 or Netbook, feel a bit of its been here before.

But Im with you, I would love to get my hands on one, from the photos that were linked, the machine looks very slick, and great to browse the web whilst chilling out on the couch

I've been following the threads on the TC forum from people who've been to the sneak preview events held by Palm for the Foleo, pretty much everyone who has seen/used it has come away impressed Just wish they held one over here

Speaking of Nokia internet tablets, just ordered a Nokia 770 from Expansys as they are selling them for £73

Totally agree with you Taz, just wish we could see what all the hype is about and get to look and play with this new device

The Nokia 770, was looking at one of those, but seems I have missed the boat, according to the guys there, they managed to sell 4,000 of the them in 2 days
