ACCESS Licenses Palm OS Garnet Source Code to Palm, Inc.

This is definitely good news for the future of the Palm OS. Access had no intention of developing or improving the OS. Now we might get some innovation like WiFi and GPS support in the OS. It could be awhile tho.

This is a holiday present, we just can't open it this year

Heh, I was just looking at this today. I would love to work in a linux environment on my handheld. Especially since Access's linux OS is supposed to be able to emulate Palm OS to run software. So all the old good programs we could keep, and still have the advantages of multi-tasking and an open source platform.
