According to this article on T3, Palm will be making an announcement early next week on which European carrier will be selling the Pre as well as pricing and availability.

The long wait could soon be over

The Guardian are claiming that it's o2 who've won the contract

I saw that. Thanks thats what the last article I saw before this said telefonica movistar and O2 were getting it. Who knows thoughmaybe vodaphonbe may yet sneak back in.

Telefonica are the parent company of o2

I assume o2 will get an exclusive for x amount of months, much like Sprint, after which other carriers can start selling it.

Today an article in the precentral forum was talking about it being on a Dutch company Hi which is also affiliated in some way with telefonica.
