| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Hi & thanks to all the peoples advice on this great site. This place is a treasure chest of info! my sit is this: I just want a good phone (voice clarity & bluetooth enabled {pref-but not NECESSARY} ) my main thing is to have contact access (hence,Palm OS-which I'm used to) and a good phone. I won't use it for web/email etc., so any limitations in taht regard really don't affect me. if,however, one model over the other gives a noticable performance boost-that would be a factor. SO, my question is: do I get an older 650p and be happy w/ it (for abt $75-100),track down a 700p (for abt $125) or bite the bullet and give Verizon $250 for the 755p? I know the form factor on the the 755p is the way to to go,but I 'm wondering abt the other features that'll make a difference for my needs.(also, would someone post a link to the app & advice to using grafitti on any of the above..{my favorite!} thanks in advance for your advice! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would go with a Centro. Its a little snappier in performance than the 755p and it comes a little better equipped with software. I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to use the net or email, but still for $99 and a two year contract, I don't see where you can go wrong. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | just need a phone... thanks Stuart, web & email access might come later, but for now, with the increased $$ for a web plan and access to web/email at home and work,I don't see me using that all that much. if I *did* want those features in the future (6 mos?), would your answer be the same? thanks again, eyespy18 |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | one last question had to ask... would you say there a noticable performance difference between the 650 & 755,if ALL i wanted to use it for was phone & contact/calendar? what kinds of hiccups might be found on the 650? (thanks tho for your previous post.I checked out the Centro (a little small, even for my small hands/big thumbs!) and thought I'd beat this horse one last time before more seriously considering the 755 or Centro thanks |

I've had my 650 (GSM) for 3 years; only "hiccup" was a reset loop about 2yrs., 8 months ago........since updated software version to 1.20 ENA, no problems since then. Modified ROM, no problems,... 8GB card, no problems,...tons of 3rd-party apps, no problems. Have no idea what a CDMA 650 will do. I don't know what snappier is, but if it's speed, that will depend on your carrier.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Processor and internal memory-wise(most notible items for 'snappiness', the 755p or Centro are going to be better than the 650. Similarly, if and when you decide to use the Web and or email, you'll get much better performance in terms of more recent software (Versamail) and data speed (EVDO)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you didn't like the form factor on the Centro, then I would definitely recommend the 755p. Its just a $100 more for essentially a larger keyboard. There are a few other minor differences, but that is what I have and I love my phone. |
