GPS on Treo

Hi, I just upgraded from a 650 to 755p. I have been considering getting a GPS like Tom Tom or Garmin Mobile 10 for the 755.....but since I have the 650 and have no use for it can I use it as the GPS if it is not activated anymore? Or will I have to use the 755p since it is now the live unit? Thanks for the help.

Both of those programs use maps stored on either the device or, most likely, an SD card. Some of the higher functions (like traffic info, and local searches) require a data connection of some kind, but for your basic everyday mapping needs no connection is needed. So, in short, yes you can use your old device.

forgot is completely correct.
I have The Tom Tom GPS for my 650 and it ROCKS.

However my suggestion would be to get it for your 755p and use it on that phone.
Then you don't have to carry 2 phones and you can sell the 650.
or....
Was your idea to leave the 650 in the car, then others could use it.

Thanks a lot! Yes I plan on leaving the 650 in the car to use as a GPS only. I would sale it but it has a good bit of scratches from so much use. I think that using it as a GPS only so that my 755 is free to use as needed is better vs. the small amount of money I could get out of saling it.
