![]() | Delete server mailbox messages Apparently my server mailbox (Sprint) is full or miscoded. I am getting multiple old messages every day that were previously opened and deleted from my Treo 700. They download overnight and greet me every morning. I then have to again delete them, every fricken day!! Any suggestions? |

![]() ![]() | Are you using Versamail? If so, go to Options>Preferences>Advanced>Server. If you want the emails to delete from the server when you delete from your Treo then in the "Servers" screen, make sure the box is checked to "Delete Mail on the server after deleting from Versamail". Should do the trick. |

![]() ![]() | I think Versamail works fine with Sprints mail servers. Couple of things to try: Could be a problem with your mail 'counter' at either end that records the most recent message number downloaded or received. - Delete your mail account in Versamail and set it up again - this should reset the local counter. If you still have no luck you'll need to ask Sprint to reset you mail account or purge all messages so the counters sync again. The counters usually sync up every time you do a send/receive so their might be something wrong with the way the account is setup outside of any mail protocols. You can always try getting in via webmail (does sprint have this) and purging manually. Ultimately my advice would be to not use any ISP's or Carrier's mail servers as it ties you to that ISP and/or hassle when you move (to T-Mobile or Verizon for example). Plus you end up gathering a dozens of ISP email addresses that you need to check every now and then. Have a look as using either Yahoo or Google mail. Both are excellent and will work with Versamail as well as give you a good degree of flexibility for sending mail on the go. ~ Steph
