How much use does your Treo get in a typical day?

Since I'm a new Treo user, I was curious as to how much others use their Treos in a typical day.

Poll away

Use includes: phone, PIM, texting, emails, web use - anything you can do with a Treo.

Great poll! The problem is, it depends on my day. Some days I'm only actually on it a few hours, others I'm at the upper end of the scale.

Thumbs up

My Treo, Aldy, wakes me up in the morning, gets my email, checks the weather. Then he reminds me to go to work. Treo hour keeps me on top of day by chiming twice on the hour and once on the half hour.
At work, Aldy will help me mark down grocery items that need to be discontinued, or check a scheldule on the calendar, etc. On break, I read a bible chapter, check my email and always check this site.
Aldy reminds me to go back to work from lunch. Afternoon break, time for more email checking and Treo surfing. Sometimes if I'm running late from work, I'll call my wife and let her know. Occasionally when I get home Aldy needs a recharge because he's exhausted from a days work. (Need to get him an extended battery.)
Aldy keeps me posted of text messages with my daughter and also connected by phone to my Army Son, his wife, and my precious grandkids.
When it's time for bed, it's a game of Acid Solitare or book worm. Then back on the charger for the night.
All in all, it's a busy life for Aldy and me.

RichC will become famous soon enough
Interestingly I try to pattern my use around a Treo 700p battery. If it is nearly dead by the end of the day, I've calculated well. ON days when I travel, I'm onto the second battery by 5PM, but otherwise a stock Palm 1800 mw battery will suffice.

Good idea - interesting poll!

Dennis (Treo's birth name) & I stay busy most days. Heavy phone use thanks to the job and I check and respond to emails (Dennis auto-checks every half-hour). Docs to Go is a lifesaver and I do play the occasional game of Bejewled just for the heck of it.

It gets over-used, cetainly....

On days when I am in the office: I check the weather so I know what to wear, check my calendar so I know I'm supposed to be in that day.. then the rest of the morning commute includes listening to streaming music, checking email, surfing the NET and solitaire(when on the train). At work, I usually leave it alone unless I actually make or receive a call or text. The evening commute is the same the AM.

On days on job sites, it is really my mobile office. I check and send emails, make and take calls all day, snap pictures and send pictures of the sites, light financial and budget calcs, review and edit calendar, send and receive texts, etc...

On weekends, I still check my office and personal mail and respond accordingly, I also surf while in the car (not while driving ) and whatever else.....

I am told I need to really cut back, at least on the wknds... but once you're in, it hard to get out.

Weekdays are primarily my heavy use periods. At my home office I sync half a dozen databases, update my balance on Quicken and any appointments entered since previous sync. Once I left the house, I start Time billing, check the weather, and email gets checked after 9am every 30min. til 5pm. Data entry/lookup to/from databases, maybe a dozen client calls per day, text from my daughter a college. PocketTunes or Audible while I'm in the car = 2 hrs, Pocket Quicken records my debit card charges. Typically battery is at 50% by 5 pm.

I use my Treo alot! My phone gets Twitter updates through my IM. I blog through my Treo and I Google Reader all day. I check the news, UPS tracking, and once in a while I watch youtube videos. I take many pitctures, ones I use for my blog as well, and I listen to my MP3 via my Aux in my work truck. Other than that my Treo is sleeping.

Edit: I forgot to add NFL Mobile to the mix on Sundays and Monday Nights!!!
