Can anyone tell me how to print a transcript of text messages / chats?

Try treodesktop application. It put that info on your desktop and you may be able to print from there. Not sure, buy you may.

If you've got Documents to Go on the Treo, you can copy the chat/text and paste into a new Doc2Go doc, HotSync, and open the Document to Go Desktop app and either print from there or save to a MS Word doc.

I appreciate the responses. However, the Treo ClipBoard apparently has a very small limit making cutting and pasting too cumbersome.

I don't see anything on the Palm Desktop that allows me to see this information.

I'm curious if anyone knows where this data is stored on the PC? I know that it must be there somewhere because when I upgraded from the 700p to the 755p, all of the old text messages where put in place in the new device.

what comiken was referring to was this - an app called treodesktop. it allows you to sync your messages and other phone data with your pc. give it a look.
