AT&T to offer 3 plans for iPhone users.... but what about the Treonauts?!

AT&T plans to offer 3 plans for iPhone users.... but what about the Treo users?!

Taken from: NewsFactor Network | AT&T Will Offer Three iPhone Service Plans

Barry Levine writes:
According to Current Analysis analyst Avi Greengart, AT&T's unlimited-data service plans for Apple's iPhone are "quite reasonable" in that they cost only about $20 more than the equivalent voice-only plans from other providers. "From the consumer's point of view," he said, AT&T's approach to unlimited data on the iPhone is "extremely positive".
To me this is good news. No, I have no intentions of getting an iPhone. The good news is that of the price of unlimited data.... It's dropping.

Every iPhone-specific plan includes unlimited data for e-mail and Web, Visual Voicemail, 200 text messages, rollover minutes, unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling, and phone minutes. Also there is a one-time activation of $36.

There will be 3 plans. A $59.99 monthly for 450 minutes and 5,000 night-and-weekend minutes, a $79.99 for 900 minutes and unlimited night-and-weekends, and $99.99 for 1,350 minutes and unlimited night-and-weekends.

Currently at AT&T, unlimited data is in the $40 range for devices like the Treo or Blackberry. Hopefully the high speed data will drop too to match the new iPhone data packages.

So do Treo (and other smartphone/pda) users get to look forward to data rates dropping in the near future? We all can hope.

I asked that same question earlier. I hope so. If they don't someone might be throwing a $hit fit to AT&T CS. I know that person will be me.
