Virtual Laser Keyboard for the Treo

I have been eyeing to buy the the virtual laser keyboard for my Treo 650. It's a cool device that pairs with most mobile phones esp the TREO. The virtual laser keyboard is a small carry on device that pairs with the Treo and emits a laser beam that takes the shape of a keyboard on any flat surface, from there on it's simple you can start typing by tapping the virtual keys.

I want to know if anyone has tried using the virtual keyboard and can share their experience. I find it cool but it would be nice to hear from actual users on how they feel about it.

Here's a cool video on the laser keyboard at You Tube

I saw this a while back and, like you, thought it was really cool. The drawbacks there are you have to have a flat surface. With a folding keyboard you don't have to have a flat surface, and can use it on the couch, in your lap, wherever. Just my two cents.

I love the idea for that thing.

If only it could do a virtual desk so you can set it up with custom [monochrome] buttons as well a larger display area...I could have my phone top right and drag acrooss my desk to the left, a little virtual notepad, a bunch of links on the right side...

Yeah, there's all kinds of potential for this kind of hardware. While the cool factor is way there, the usefulness factor is kinda slim.

Yeah you right, it might not come in handy where there isn't a flat service while the foldable keyboard can be used from almost anywhere..
