SMS from Sprint Treo 650 - Treo Forum

Ok...here's a tough one. I have a treo 650 from sprint which met an unhappy fate when it's path through the air was abruptly ended by a wall in my apartment. Although I'll save the temper issue for an entirely different forum, the treo actually rebooted and began to work...except the screen, which somewhat lights up, but nothing else is visible. I recieved about 4 text messages right after rebooting but can't read them. I cancelled my contract shortly thereafter with Sprint (Worst customer service on the face of the planet) and signed on with Verizon and a new Motorola Q (Love it)

Without replacing the screen, is there a way to retrieve the sms messages from the treo?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Doubt it. You're probably hosed.

Hmm...not that I'm aware of. The SMS messages are not stored in a readable format when you hotsync, and not even emulation software like TapSmart KeyLink will let you at it without activating the emulator from the pda....

unless there's a way to sync your sms to your pc, the horizon is not promising.

if someone knows of a way, please post!

I was able to hotsync and have a couple of files in back up one titled "Messages_Database.pdb" but don't know how to view it.

Any ideas?
