Assigning NUMBERS to speed dial instead of letters? - Treo Forum

Hey everyone I'm using my first PALM based TREO and this is my first post here. Woohoo!

Anywho, I'm very much used to assigning a number to speed dial phone numbers. But it seems that my TREO 680 (or would it be my Palm OS?) wont let me assign numbers so that I can press the 5 key and it dial my best friend. Letters dont work because I have many friends and family whose names begin with the same letter. So since you all are the experts of Palm, how can I assign numbers to my speed dial favorites?

Welcome Rondo to Treonauts, we will try to provide you with as much help as we can, with the problems you encounter, but we aren't all experts here, just member who have different experiences with our Treo's and palm devides.

I'm just checking my 650 and it doesn't allow for choosing numbers either, the only altenative you seem to have is whether to have thier name as a Capital letter or not, sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

You could press F and pretend that your just pressing 5!

Are you wanting to assign speed dial numbers to both letters and numbers? Your Treo only supports favorites (which are like speed dial) that are assigned to the different letters on the keyboard.
