![]() ![]() | You can buy polarised screen protectors that work in a similar way to the coating on glasses or store windows. Theyr'e not made specifically for the Treo but you can cut it down to size. ~ Steph

| Junior Member ![]() | Thanks Steph. I was hoping for another option, I hate screen protectors but there may not be another choice. I'll look for those polarized ones next time I'm at the mall, I've never seen them before.

![]() ![]() | Prob won't find then at the mall...it's quite a specialty thing I think, an online pro camera store might have it. The last time I saw it was a film like saran wrap or cling film that you apply to a surface which massively reduces reflections. Sounds a pain I know but it works extremely well. I"ll have a dig around and seee if I can come up with something. ~ Steph ha HA! Found some of it: Introducting Vikuiti™ Durable QUick Clean Film and Vikuiti™ Anti-Reflection Film ARMR-200 It's fascinating how it works... I remember studying it for Physics A-level but not paying attention: Howstuffworks "My glasses have an anti-reflective coating. How does that work?" 3M Vikuiti protective film and LCD protection film in the UK

| Junior Member ![]() | Thanks! I bookmarked that site, I'm sure I can find a supplier online with a tiny bit ofdigging around later. I'll post back when I get some and let everyone know how it works.

![]() | Oh lots of great advice showing up on this post. I've been using ziplock type bags to protect my Treo when heading into wet conditions, boating or the sand of the beach. These are cheap, replaceable and disposable although I suspect everyone already is doing this? My question is are there any better suggestions that fit pockets or whatever a little bit better? I'll include a Treo 700p photo although I posted a few others directly from Treo email client to my blog during our families week to warmer climates. Also tried a few video clips but was left wanting ... flash clip on this post. (coming from cooler weather, it was nice to warm up a bit) ![]() |

| Senior Member ![]() | Great Thread! I love taking pictures and videos, and I want to get better at it with my TREO, that's for sure. One thing I don't like is the blurriness of most of the pictures. Here's one from Wednesday night, standing in line for a Pirates of the Great Salt Lake movie sneek preview at Universal City Walk AMC theatre: ![]() Here's one from driving up the coast earlier that day (Wow! dirty windshield): ![]() (direct from camera via picture mail to pc then ftped to a webserver where it's linked from here) One thing I like about the handiness of taking pictures with the TREO is the just that, the handiness. When I first got my TREO, I was doing some tech support in a data center and was able to take a picture of the back of a router and email it to the admin and prove what I was saying was true. I also took a picture of my license plate once before walking into a hotel to register, because I can never remember the damn thing! Last edited by TREOdeJaneiro; 05-18-2007 at 11:06 PM. |
