 | New to the list Hi, all. I work in Silicon Valley; I am a technical writer by day and an RN part-time in the evenings. I'm considering a Palm Treo or Centro (I have Verizon, and like it--I have had excellent overall coverage, and great customer service). My main requirements: I need to be able to run Agendus (powerful calendar/contact/everything app by Iambic), and ePocrates. Right now, the only operating systems that will run both are Palm and PC. So...I'm hoping that the Treo will get smaller, or that Verizon will start carrying the Centro. I'm interested in what you all have to say about the two of them. Thank you! Nurseferatu |

   | First off, welcome to Treonauts. I am sure that you will find a wealth of information regarding your search. I have read rumors that the Centro is coming to Verizon. I am unsure of the dates but a search on our forum could answer that question for me. haha. |

| I second the welcome! It's likely that a Centro will be coming on Verizon soon, but we can't say for certain. The 755 is a pretty reasonable size, IMO, but I can see why the smaller Centro would be nice.

| I too have heard rumors of a Verizon Centro, but haven't heard any dates. It seems that it will probably happen sooner rather than later, as Palm is trying to get this device on as many carriers as possible. It seems like a day doesn't go by without me getting some press release about the Centro on some new network. On a side note, welcome to Treonauts Nurseferatu. I really like the name! Night nurse?

I like to play doctor at night....er I mean...welcome Nurse : ) I read a story on TreoCentral that someone had threatened to leave Verizon to get a Centro and was told they would be getting it soon. But in the world of cell carriers, soon could be tomorrow, or it could be a month later. Who knows...but its release is imminent. |
