Help, cant log on to Treonauts! - Treo Forum

I cant seem to view Treonauts forums for the past 3 days or so. Everytime when I hit the Forums page, it returns me with a 404 Error. But the strange thing is, I could still view the rest of the site though.

I remembered that I dont have this problem before...

You could try clearing your cache and cookies (if you clear your cookie you may loose the auto login to some other sites)...

Steph,

I'm having an issue not with logging on, but with the New Posts skipping posts. When I sign on, the first thing I look at is New Posts. Then through surfing the threads I have found that there have been several that never showed up as New Posts. Thanks.

Yes Steph, I did cleared my cookies including my temp files, did everything like pressed Cntrl+F5 but still the same. I think it has something to do with my proxy as Im on DSL.

On the logging issues, I also noticed Im unable to stay logged on if I didnt select the remember me button.

Hi, if you go to this page it will tell you whether you're going through a transparent proxy or not

You could bypass it by manually setting a proxy. Obviously you'd still be going through a proxy but it might be more reliable than the current one

I'm having this same problem! I have made posts in threads never to see them pop up in the "New Posts" list and so I thought no one ever posted in them after me. So, off I go to doodle around in here and happen upon one of these threads to see a full blown convo going on and it never popped up for me.

I thought it was me. I forget what threads I've posted in often and when they don't show up I lose touch with them. Glad to know I'm not alone.

Wow that weird.

I always recommend members enable Thread Subscriptions. In the UserCP click Edit Option on the left and midway down the page you'll see "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Mine is set to Daily email notification. As you might guess, you'll then receive an email each day if the thread changes in anyway. Don't worry you won't suddenly start receiving newsletters (unless you asked for them). I haven't even migrated those members who said ok in 2006 yet

As for the new post search...well that seems strange. The new post search works by comparing your last login time with new post post times. BUT your last login time expires after about 30 minutes where it gets set to the current time which may not give you enough time to wade through the threads to find the threads you participated in or started.

Other than that there may be a bug but it would be a strange one. It would have to list new posts except ones in threads in which you participated. If it were true (and it might be) then new posts would be a very expensive routine to have.

Before I go looking for a bug or update has anyone ever found a reply to a thread they've started in the new posts thingy? I think I've seen it but now of course I can't be sure.
