Thumbs up Greetings To All

Good day (or morning or afternoon or night) to everyone.

I hope this post finds everyone in good health and spirits.

Since this is my intro I'll shoot you a little info...

I'm an Admin at a motorcycle forum and we love good introductions as well as pictures so sit back for a few while I disclose a little about me.

I found my way here while looking for application upgrades for my Sprint Centro. I was viewing the store and saw the "Forum" link. Unfortunately I cannot log into my account while at work.

As stated above, I have a Sprint Centro. I've had it for a few months now and I love it. It's my first smartphone. I've never had a PDA or any compatible device. I'm growing rather dependent which kinda scares me. Most of the information I input, I've always remembered (I have a pretty good memory *toot toot*) and now I find myself creating tasks w/ reminders like "Create Treonauts Account". It's crazy.

I stumbled here while trying to find an app or add-on for my calendar to have the Holidays w/o me having to add them manually. Some of the functionality I've read in threads here has definitely made me wonder why those features aren't standard.

I have the Palm Centro Air Case and I love it. It would be perfect (for me) if it had a belt clip. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased w/ it. It seems that others are as well because none of the 8 million Sprint Carriers in my area had any in stock.

I also have the Palm Wireless Headset Series 3. To my knowledge, it's Palms version of the Plantronics Headset. No complaints from me or the folks I talk w/ on a daily.

I've installed Text Twist, Solitaire, and Cubis. It came w/ Sudoku. I want to install Kakuro as well (after I find a good version).

Thus far, I've only installed a bible reader from Olive Tree. I've read a few threads about NVBackup so I'm going to look into that. I also plan to look into Agendus versus Date Book. Feel free to point me in the right direction where I can view some feedback so I can study up and form an opinion.

What else.....single, never married, no crumb-snatchers, work maintaining government software applications, no military experience although I've worked closely w/ them all of my years in the work force, love pizza, favorite color is purple, and favorite number is 3.

I saw a thread somewhere about naming your phone. I cracked up laughing because I have a name for my vehicles as well as my home.

So here's Nighthawk eating dinner:

Here's Nighthawk in sleep mode:

I'll probably be breathing life into some older threads. I saw a few at work I plan to post in.

Thanks for checking me out and I look forward to future interaction.

Also, point me in the direction of some forum rules and regulations so I know what's taboo and the like. I already read about not asking for application hacks and I couldn't agree more.

Optimus Centro out.

Optimus! Outstanding and hilarious post. Welcome aboard! There are a couple freeware holiday apps. I think one is called Holidays USA, or something like that. Google it (enter as "Holidays USA Palm OS) and I think you'll be in business. I'm looking forward to more of your posts.

Welcome aboard Optimius Centro and thanks for the great introduction.

Games wise I'm still into Bejeweled2 for the casual game whilst waiting for something; thats if I'm not watching my Slingbox TV on a tiny screen (and trying to convince myself it's really cool).

App wise Agendus vs Datebook will ultimately boil down to personal choice. I prefer Agendus because it seems to be more solid to me. Another app you might want to look at is Keysuite though it is expensive and equivalent to the 'Pro' version of the other packages. I've used that too for a while until I needed to hard reset (for another reason) - since then I haven't used anything.

Rules wise we've gone organic in the sense that our moderators are all sensible fair people and we assume everyone here will be. We'll let someone know if they're behaving badly or unfairly. We're all here to give and get help so feedback on solutions offered is useful for future readers. And of course feel free to dive in and offer advice if you see something you can help out on.

We'd prefer links to products to be to associated Treonauts stores since it helps cover the software and hosting costs for the forum but obviously if something isn't available then.. fair enough.

Hope you enjoy it here.

~ Steph

Great info Steph. Thank you very kindly. I haven't heard of the Keysuite app before now. I'll have to add that to the eval list.

Understood on the links to local products. My apologies.

If you're not still mourning the loss, enlighten me on what led to your hard reset.

Cool! You and my daughter have the same fav color...although I'm not sure if you feel that's cool, but anywho. Welcome to the club!!!

Oh, I'm a Datebk6 user/fanatic. Have been for almost 2.5 years now. Since I'm biased I won't comment on which you should go with.

She's cool w/ me. I'm loving your avatar. Since you're a Datebk6 fanatic, I'll be coming to you to field my Datebk6 questions if you don't mind.

She's a pretty cool kid, but as with Datebk6...I'm biased. As for your Datebk6 questions I'm more than happy to assist as much as I can.

Oh, and I'm glad you like my avatar. I'm a huge Wonder Woman fan! My old avatar was of a TX with a Wonder Woman pic inside of it, but since I've "upgraded" I had to change things up a bit. My good friend WyreNut at Brighthand made this one for me.
