Treonauts College Scholarship Fund - Treo Forum

Well everybody,
I just got to thinking about beaconseries, and his treo plight of under pricing his treo on ebay, and 13 year olds etc. I'll bet we have a fair number of budding treonauts here. Maybe we could find a way to make contributions toward a college fund. Part of the fun (for us anyway) could be: the applicants would write an essay chosen from a short list of treotopics, we could read and vote whose was best, and give that person the kitty. I would make a contribution, if some administrator would agree to provide a vehicle and you all would concur with me to help fufill someone's college dream.
Is any one in interested or agreement? Is this even a possiblilty?

I think its a good idea. I am in my second year of college... but I would be willing to help out with the fund after I graduate and get a solid job.

Obviously it would need to be "fleshed out" a little bit more.

I say this is impossible besides how many people would give their credit card number or donate via paypal to a forum where they don't know where the money would go?

It's not that hard to do. Apparently it is not something we are interested in pursuing. Oh well.
