Newbie "

I'm certainly not a newbie to the regular mobile phone forums...but I am an absolute one on any Treo forum, and to smartphones & PDA's in general. I have heard that Treonauts.com is the most patient with non-techgeek newbies...so this is where I'll probably try to glean information.

I have been using a Samsung Blackjack...which I don't really feel. I have my new Treo 680 sitting on my doorstep at home even as I type, and I'll be able to play with it tonight. Looking forward to it...

Thanks guys...I'll need your help, and patience along the way.

FACT: this is the BEST forum for Treo newbies, Treo users, and people in general who believe that there is still a place on the internet for civility and courtesy. A Treo can bring a lot of frustration to a new user; my advice is to stick with it - eventually your comfort level will rise to the point where you wouldn't think of using anything else. This is the place where peope will help you to rise to that level without being made to feel like an idiot or an intrusion. (I will now cut and paste this response to other posts. If that is inappropriate, please delete.)

Thanks for the replies. I am having my first day with my Treo 680 today, and it is a learning curve to muster.

I like a lot, and am impressed with most things about it...except the horrible battery life (evern after the OTA fix). But, maybe after a total drain and a full overnight charge again...that won't be an issue.

If I can lick that problem...I might be a Treonaut after all!!
