So, for the last couple days I've had a problem with Internet Explorer. When I open it, the tool bar isn't there (the web is "full screen"), so I can't get to any options/address bar/favorites etc. I can't figure out how to undo this!!

Also, does anyone else have the problem that it takes FOREVER to type something into the address bar? When I type something, it takes about 30 seconds for EACH letter to appear before I can finally hit enter and get the page to load. It's extremely annoying.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but, there is a way to keep differents configurations of ip and proxy so I could change this setting quickly? I need to connect my phone to two networks each one with its own proxy and ip range.

(As always in cases like this, sorry for my english)

I have an old unlimited data plan on my Treo 755p and would like to upgrade the phone without having to upgrade my plan, I am currently paying $5 for unlimited data.
My questions are:
1- if I buy a Treo Pro from a private party can I just ask Sprint to transfer my line to it ?
2- Anything to look out for besides a clean ESN?

I have problems with my phone doing stupid stuff when I text. When I space or insert a non-alpha character (like a comma), the text application closes and it immediately goes to my contacts. If I do a hard reset, I don't have this problem. I did a Sprite restore back up so I have my calendar and contacts and other downloads without synching it to my PC. Now, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to restore everything except my text messages. Has anyone ever had this kind of problem with texting? If so, what is causing this? If not, can anyone tell me how to restore everything except my texts? Hopefully, that will solve this problem. I appreciate your help!

I've been wondering lately what's going to happen with the Treo. Will it ever be seen again (new models of course)?? With Palm announcing they will no longer be making WM Treos and put their efforts into the Pre is the Treo Pro the last of the breed??:(:(:(:( A lot of friends are getting HTC devices which are very nice but bulky. I like the Pre but need WM6.1 or better because of business requirements. Don't get me started on the PIXI(Horrible name!!!). Does anyone think there will be a WM6.5 upgrade for the TREO Pro? Sadly I believe we are going to be forgotten like Coleco Vision or Atari. Any thoughts in this area??:confused::confused:

I live in Turkey, where there are no Palm phones. My battery life has gotten so bad, I can't go one whole day without my phone dying. I'm looking to buy a car charger, but since they don't have Palm, I need to find another compatible charger.
The Nokia charger fit but there was some question about voltage. Does anyone know if I can use a Nokia charger with my Palm Pro? Any other suggestions would be great. It seems like Palm is the only phone not available here...

Satellite Navigation Use - Treo Pro

Greetings,

I have been a Treo user since 2003 (I think) when I bought a Treo 600.

I have upgraded to a Pro and faced a steep learning curve - as I thought that I would be able to continue with Palm OS. So you can tell I'm not very phone savvy.

I think I've got my phone up and running quite quickly. Bought ewallet and a genealogy program for windows mobile - had to buy Outlook 2003. Sorted out my active sync issues. I am considering buying a sat nav for the Pro.

My SIM card is from Orange - which originally supported the Treo 600. I ditched the monthly contract and went pay as you go - because I use the device as a portable PC rather than a phone.

I am interested in knowing how Sat Nav works. I can buy Tom Tom Navigator on Ebay for less than Tom Tom sell it for. But I am not sure how easy it is to use in a car.

My business phone is different and my car will be fitted to support a Nokia smart phone - so my Treo is my seperate personal pocket pc.

If I've got a car charger - how would this work - if I plug the pro into a car charger and set a route - can I expect the phone to stay on and for me to hear the instructions throughout the journey?

With pay as you go - will I be incurring high data download costs to use the facilty of sat nav?

I have seen other posts regarding GPS and Sat Nav but you all seem to know a lot about it - and my basic concerns are not mentioned.

I'd really appreciate a steer from someone using the Pro as a car sat nav - before I spend money on the tom tom software.

Thanks very much

I've noticed that for at least the past couple of weeks my phone won't display the name or phone number for callers (especially ones who aren't in my contact list) when receiving incoming calls.

For people who I have a picture or additional contact info, i.e. "title", "company", etc., it will display the company and job title and picture but not their name or their phone number. My wife's entry is one such example of this.

I haven't installed any new programs in at least two months, and I don't have Ringo or any similar programs on my phone. Also, I can view the number in my call history just fine but this doesn't help me especially when the call is from an 800 number that I need to answer.

Please help me! :) I'm missing calls from people that I would most definitely answer, even at work, if I could just see who it is that's calling me.

Thanks. :D
